... to Alice!
DRINK ME. EAT ME. PULL ME.
Alice sat in my basement staring at her deep royal blue paint and white lettered pulls for months, but she finally got her chance to debut at the festival my bestie and I attended on Memorial Day. She too, just like Suzie, got a lot of ooooh's and aaaaaaah's from people stopping by our canopy, especially those who love books. As you can see, her cabinets and drawers are lined with pictures and pages from Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass". Even though she was a tad stubborn from time to time throughout the restyle, she came out great and I'm really hoping someone who loves her will snatch her up!
Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Alice has a new home in Brooklyn, New York!
I can't believe she's trekking across the country to the East Coast and I'm sure she's gonna make someone very very happy!

ReplyDeletenice nice nice job! Even though the original furniture has a distinctive retro look, your refinish gives it more of a timeless look. Very appealing indeed! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and your kind comment. :)

ReplyDeleteFirst of all I was thrilled with that navy. It's unexpected and for me that is always a good thing. The contrast of the pulls? Perfect. The Alice lining? Brilliant. Loved it. She will definitely find a good home. Thanks for sharing on Motivated Monday at BeColorful

I'm blushing over here Pam, and I wish this was facebook because I would totally LIKE your comment. ;) lol
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! What kind if paint do you use. Are you brushing or using a sprayer?
ReplyDeleteOH MY! I am seriously IN LOVE with this piece!! Loving the color and I have a VERY SERIOUS obsession with Alice and all things lettered and small! Well Done!
ReplyDelete@Midwest - I used a roller and a Purdy Cub brush. I haven't used a sprayer yet, but that could be a near future thing with some chairs I have to redo. :)
ReplyDelete@Two Thirty Five - Wow, thank you soooo much! I do love the Alice from Disney, but nothing is better than the original! The navy was a hit with everyone and it makes me think I should use it on something else here. ;)
