My wonderful customer "M", who commissioned all of the recently completed hand painted stools, decided that she wanted a little stool for her wee one as well. Except this one was going to be special....
"M's" mother, who was a giraffe lover, had breast cancer and before her passing had passed that love down to her granddaughter... M's little girl Calleigh. So I wanted to paint something especially cute that had a giraffe and a subtly incorporated pink ribbon into the design. I searched online for inspiration and came across this entirely way too cute giraffe designed for a nursery decor.
So doing what I do... I took the design, and by hand and eye, transferred it to a piece of paper inside the round shape outline of the stool.
And this was the outcome....
